As population centres grow exponentially, the amount of waste thrown every day is also increasing at an alarming rate, threatening to exceed the ability of the environment to heal itself. Open landfills are hotspots for the release of greenhouse gases as well as the growth of pathogenic bacteria and disease vectors. In natural water systems, microplastic particles end up harming photosynthetic plankton—an organism that is responsible for replenishing 50 to 80 per cent of Earth’s oxygen.
At 5E Resources Limited, our scheduled waste treatment delivers a large amount of these resources to our processing plants to reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover (4R) waste.

The method of processing depends on the type:

| Wastes containing high value components such as gold and silver from electronic waste are first purchased from the waste generator before they are recovered. Other valuable materials include ferrous and non-ferrous materials, oxides and hydroxides.

|
|
| For sludge, solid sludge, alkalines, waste acids, containers, drums/tanks, and oils are processed through decontamination, thermal cracking, and complex chemical treatments.

|
|
|
|
|
|
| The products of our recovery and recycling processes are then sold to the market, with many of our customers being suppliers requiring a steady and cost-effective supply of raw materials.
